There is so much fun to be had during the season of fall in Ottawa. I recently posted about one of my favourite autumn activities – apple picking, and now I want to make sure you don’t miss out on some of the great fall fairs there are around the Ottawa area. I’m hoping for a sunny September and some great weekends out at the fair.

September 21st-24th – known as “the best little fair in Canada” the Carp Fair is a big favourite with my family. We have attended for the past three years, and always the weather has worked out providing a gorgeous, warm, sunny weekend. Here’s hoping 2017 is no different!
At the Carp Fair you will find a petting zoo, pony rides, horse shows, super dog shows, vendors, great food, and midway rides and games.
Thursday gate admission is by donation, and all rides are $2 that day.
If you buy advance admission, you save a few dollars… adults – $10, children ages 6-12 – $5

September 28th to October 1st – 2017 will mark the 161st anniversary of this fall tradition, held annually in the Village of Metcalfe. There are some interesting events included like a baby show. You can enter your cute baby to win prizes!
